The Operational Manual was jointly developed by UNDP Thailand and the Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to raise awareness about gender equality, systems and mechanisms for gender equality protection for relevant government agencies, government officials, private sector and the public.

The Operational Manual consists of 6 parts, including: 1) Introduction; 2) Basic knowledge about gender equality; 3) Background, principles and core content of the principle of non-discrimination on the basis of gender; 4) Structure and authority of the government agencies and official on gender equality protection, 5) Inspection of Gender Discrimination; and 6) Compensation and remedy for victims of discrimination based on gender and the establishment of the Gender Equality Promotion Fund.
