Report on Gender-based Violence Against Women and Girls (VAW/G) Indicators

The Office of Women’s Affairs and Family Development, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (OWAFD/MSDHS), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme in Thailand (UNDP Thailand), join hands in the development of a set of indicators, the drafting a report and a campaign to support the project “Every Home is Safe: Support to the Implementation of the Protection of Domestic Violence Victims Act 2007”.

UNDP Thailand’s grant of USD 186,100 for a three-year period (2010-2012) aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the management of Thailand’s violence against women and girls (VAW/G) data, to foster data ingration and sharing, and to reduce duplication in data collection among public and private organizations concerned. The project also promotes the use of VAW data for situation analysis and development evaluation which should lead to effecitive policy-making and implementation of programs and projects to eliminate violence against women and girls in Thailand.
